The last home meet of the season brought about the first head to head win for the girl’s swim team.
Before the event started, each senior was introduced by a teammate and given a basket for swim senior night.

While they started off slow in the first heat,as the Tigers took an early lead. One Teammate roused the team into the next heat though. “You’re going to have to be bad at something before you can be good at it,” said Ofelia Prechel.
They proved that, bringing it right back, finishing first and second in the next heat and continuing that pressure throughout the rest of the meet.
The girls knocked the competition out of the water later in the meet with the 200 yard freestyle as Elizabeth Zydowsky beat the Tigers by almost 27 seconds.

With a final score of 95 to 65 Menomonie; the girls are looking to the next competition this weekend with conference.
