After the game, 2 athletes from Menomonie, Trevor Robert and Tyler Nelson remained for a round of questions. In response to what was the game plan coming in, and how did the team successfully execute that plan to build and maintain such a large scoring margin, Trevor said: “The game play coming into the game against La Crosse, we had to handle their pressure and not let number 3, they’re main player, touch the ball because last year he had a big impact in the game. We handled the pressure really well and number 3 with La Crosse was owned.”

Tyler was asked if this was a solid defensive effort, holding La Crosse Central to just 44 points. He was also asked to describe the team’s defensive mentality against La Crosse, and what was said before the game about setting a defensive standard on the game. He responded: “We had the mentality to play defense for the team because all it takes is one person and it all falls apart. We played each other and at the end of the day it takes an entire team to succeed.”
