The Menomonie Mustangs’ cross country teams both placed first at the Marshfield
Nightfall Classic on September 26th, 2025.
The girls’ team ran a phenomenal race. Four of the racers beat the goals they had set for themselves in the 3200m Goal Split.
“The girls ran very well. There were over 340 runners, and we had 5 girls finish in the top 15, which is pretty nice. The weather was perfect, the course was relatively flat and fast, so times were really good. We had most of the team run season personal bests, and we even had a few lifetime bests. It was a very good day.” Said Coach Olson
Still, it was a great night for a meet; many runners had PRs, and a couple of them achieved lifetime PRs, even though the course was long due to the extra distance between the starting boxes.
