As of Thursday, September 25th 2025, MHS’s senior class is taking the lead in overall Homecoming scores.
For dress up days the freshmen took the win on Monday for pajama day, however the seniors won every other day, including Adam Sandler, class color, and movie character. Friday’s theme is Mustang spirit, and it is the last dress up day for grades to win points for their class.
The seniors also won the wall decoration contest on Tuesday, with the juniors in second, sophomores in third, and freshmen coming in last.
The junior class took the lead during the games assembly on Wednesday, winning first place in the games overall. The seniors and sophomores were tied for second, however after a tie-breaker, the seniors took second and the sophomores took third, leaving the freshmen in last.
Each grade completed and turned in a skit for judging, which each study hall watched on Thursday. The seniors also took first in this category, with the juniors taking second, sophomores in third, and freshmen in last.
Currently, the seniors stand in first place with a total score of 26 points, eight points ahead of the juniors, who have 18 points in second. Tied for last, both the sophomores and the freshmen have scores of only 13 points overall.
Each class has a float that will be featured in the Homecoming parade on Friday, which will be scored and added to each grade’s total. The winner of the week will be announced at Friday night’s football game.
